This course is approved for 46 NCCAOM PDA's (CEUs) and for 46 California CEUs

This intensive course will give you the opportunity
to treat infants, children, women and mothers from local villages
and give you credits for both the NCCAOM and
California license renewals.

The course will be divided into morning lectures and afternoon clinics.

For the afternoon clinic, we will bring in Balinese village women and children to be treated. You’ll be able to treat a high number of patients and see a wide variety of conditions and some quite amazing cases. We will be offering these free treatments with the help of translators to the local population. The clinic will be held in a large open hall which is also used for yoga and meditation. The clinics will give you the hands-on experience to put into practice the topics from the morning classes. Each week there will be 2 pediatric clinics and 2 women’s clinics.

The women's health classes will cover:

• Syndrome differentiation, acupuncture point prescription and Chinese herbal formulas for menstrual and pregnancy related problems ( morning sickness, edema, hypertension…)
• Post-partum ailments (lactation problems, pain, depression…) and long time range disorders originating from unhealed deliveries, or depletion from nursing time, which often affect mothers.
• Perimenopausal and menopausal disorders.

ACCOMODATIONS

There are 2 options for accomodation: Standard, or Luxury.

Standard Room: There are 6 standard rooms available at Taman Sari Bali Cottages, which are a large room with attached bathroom, a queen size bed or 2 twin beds, air-conditioning, and mosquito net.

Luxury room consisting of a master bedroom, in a 2 bedroom villa with an attached bath, a kitchen and a small private pool.

This intensive 2-week course will include a 1-day break on Aug. 31st, where we will offer you a special optional group boat trip to Menjangan Island for breathaking snorkeling or diving. Details will follow.

COST & LOGISTICS

You’ll need to arrange your own airfare. We can refer you to travel agents or places to find inexpensive flights, if you so need.

The cost is for the 14 night package commencing Aug. 24th through Sept 6th. As all of you will be arriving on separate flights, it is suggested that you arrive in Bali by Wed. Aug. 24th. or Thur. Aug 25th. and leave on Tue. Sept. 6th, or Wed. Sept. 7th, unless you wish to stay longer in Bali on your own arrangements (highly recommended). You will be picked up at the airport and spend the first two nights at Puri Taman Sari in the village of Umabian, not far from Ubud. The town of Ubud is considered to be the artistic and cultural capital of Bali. During your time off you can visit museums and all kinds of artists workshops ranging from wood carvers, stone sculptors, painters, silver and gold smiths, and do some fabulous shopping. In the evening you can attend performances of traditional dances or theatrical plays.

On Aug 26th. you will all be taken by van for a beautiful scenic 3 1/2 hour drive through the Balinese mountains and ricefields to Taman Sari Bali Cottages on the Northwest coast of Bali where the course will be held. On Sept. 5th you will be taken by van Ubud to Saren Indah Hotel for the last one or two nights before your various departures.

Please note that for a stay up to 1 month, you can get a visa on arrival at the airport in Bali, it may be possible to extend this visa for another 30 daysif you decide to stay longer than 1 month in Bali.

The total cost for the 14-night stay includes accommodation, breakfast and coffe/tea break with snacks during the class, tuition, translators to understand your patients who may only speak Balinese or Indonesian, transportation to and from the airport, and to and from the resort where the course will be held, a gala farewell dinner with a performance of traditional Balnese Dance by the children of the nearby village ( some of whom you may be treating) and more.

US$3,200.00 for Standard Room with attached bath.

US$3,900.00 for Luxury rooms available consisting of a master bedroom, in a 2 bedroom villa with an attached bath, a kitchen and a small private pool.

US$1,000.00 deposit due by May. 31st. 2011. Balance in full to be paid by June. 30th, 2011. Space is limited to 8 people. This will be an intimate training where you will get a lot of personal attention. It is recommended that you send your deposit as soon as possible to reserve your place in the intensive, as reservations are on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation policy. Cancellation before June.15th, 2011, full refund of deposit less US$100.00 administration fees. After June 15th, 2011 the deposit is non refundable. After July 31st, 2011, there will be no refund of the entire tuition.
