ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This course will benefit practitioners of the Healing Arts, spiritual seekers and anyone interested in their own self-healing.

Course purpose:

  • To introduce a different concept of health from the Eastern perspective, pointing to the universal source of healing within us
  • To discover our unique inner landscape and our body’s energetic systems
  • To understand some basic concepts of Oriental Medicine integrated in the Taoist and Vedic philosophical and spiritual thoughts, such as: The concept of Qi or energy, the concept of Jing or essence, the concept of Shen or spirit, the concept of Yin and Yang and the law of the Five Elements.

Through these basic concepts we will:

  • Understand the interconnection of all phenomena
  • Understand the primal laws that govern the universe including our body and mind
  • Understand what keeps the universe in order and balance through the cyclic patterns of creation and destruction of the Five Elements
  • Uncover our own constitutional type with our strengths, weaknesses and life lessons
  • Feel empowered with a more universal perspective and knowledge of our relationship with our own self and the environment
  • Gain a deeper understanding and the right tools to keep our body and mind healthy and vibrant

Study and practice will include: Qi gathering movements, presentations, open discussion, role-play exercises, meditation, and visualization, all of which are designed to empower you to be able to continue your practice for better health.
